Well we’ve said goodbye to daylight savings and we’re on the road to winter…

Alan Kirby, Dealer Principal at MS Ford shares his top tips to prepare your vehicle for winter.

  1. Tyres - Check your tyre tread depth and tyre pressure
  2. Lights - Visually inspect all lights; rear lights, brake lights, headlights and driving lights. Alas, daylight savings means you’re going to need these more often.
  3. Car Battery - Have your battery checked for optimum performance. Cold weather can be harder on batteries.
  4. Screen Wash and Wipers – Being able to see clearly through winter windows is key to your safety. Keep your screen wash topped up, and include some anti-freeze in the mix. Check that your wiper blades are in top condition too.
