Functions and conferences are a great way for the Club to boost its revenue and we have been very lucky over the last month to have had several bookings through our function rooms and restaurants.
The CPNZ conference held in June was a huge success as was the Deerstalkers’ conference that we hosted last weekend. It’s great to get good feedback from the organisers and we certainly got that; everyone thought the venue and catering was fantastic and they couldn’t praise the staff highly enough. As word of mouth goes, we hope that they spread the message far and wide. Running conferences and ensuring that the venue, catering and service is of a high standard is a specialised field. Our team has certainly been put to the test and came out with flying colours.
Our functions manager Sheryl puts her all into ensuring our guests leave the club with a great lasting impression. The catering team work very hard to make sure that every plate of food being served is delicious and the bar and front of house team all get stuck in and give our delegates fantastic service. I am very proud of the team here at the Club and am confident in their ability to take on more conference events knowing that we are well and truly more than capable to compete with the other conference venues in Nelson.
Sub renewals are keeping the girls at the front desk busy which is great. So far 1253 members have renewed which means we have achieved 23.4% of membership renewals based on our current membership as at 31/05/2014. Don't forget that the early bird offer expires on August 1st, so get in before the end of the month to save yourself some money. Once again we really appreciate your commitment, thank you.

A must save date for a great night out is Saturday July 26th. Come along and help us celebrate the Clubs 44th Birthday. We will have spot prizes to give away throughout, Members bar specials running all night and a great band to get you on the dance floor. Our Patron Gavin Miller will be our special guest for the evening so come and make a night of it by having a meal in the restaurant or Club Cafe first. We look forward to seeing you.
