Looking at the hills this morning, I see that winter hasn’t quite finished with us yet – I’m thinking spring, I think it’s summer – and then there’s more snow!! I say break out the sunblock and break out the hats – and speaking of hats, we had some great hats in the Club yesterday as well as fascinators, men in suits and women in evening wear – what fun, and great to see people getting into the spirit of Melbourne Cup Race day. We would like to say thanks to Prices Pharmacy, Harley’s Pharmacy, Tuscany Motel, Petra Pretty for a makeover and TS14 Fashion for donating and giving their time so that there were plenty of prizes to be had. What a great fun way to spend the day with friends and to be able to do something a little different and fun. Turnout was great and if you didn’t make it this year, I would like to suggest you put it in your calendar for next year – any chance for getting dressed up is good in my books.
On my side of things, I’d like to mention that we are having a Christmas Lunch this year in Tosswill’s Restaurant. Bookings are starting to come in, so I would like to suggest that booking sooner rather than later will ensure your seat as numbers are limited and our cut-off date is the 8th December 2014. Please feel free to call me to make your booking. What a wonderful way to spend some of Christmas day, by enjoying the company of friends and family and not having to do the dishes (although that could be arranged).
Our $25 Tosswill dinner has been well received for the month of October so we have decided to extend our promotion of $25 adult and 1 child under 12 free. So if you didn’t take advantage of it last month, you won’t miss out, it’s not too late; we’d love to see you.
